...I read the new chapter too so you just basically summarized CH697. My last comment is now completely invalid, as it would be after a new chapter comes out. I was expressing what I though was going to happen from that chapter but now as you point out we find out that Kanpachi is much stronger than we know.

Which brings up my question of where the hell did he come from? I'm not going to take the bullshit answer that he was always that naturally strong, because it's abnormal (and boring).

No, he's dying but she's healing him before he dies completely. As far as she's concerned, he's really weak right now. From what I gathered from the recent manga, he was born to kill and try out his sword and if they weren't good enough, they'll just die and he'll move on to the next fight. After he fought with Unohana and realized that she wasn't dying in the first couple of swings, he wanted to keep that thrill of the fight going but he also realized that she couldn't exactly keep up with him either so he limited his strength unconsciously to make sure the battle lasted longer and was more fun.

But if this was the case the whole time...just how strong is Kenpachi anyways?! We always thought that he was strong that was able to obliterate anyone with little to no effort but now that we're told that he was holding back this whole time (limiting more and more of his power as time moved on), I honestly can't imagine how strong this guy is.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed but chapters 62 to 197 are missing

If this was naruto I would agree with you but this is bleach. Byakuya should of died so that renji could surpass his teacher and take revenge on Mr. scarecrow (who is now death unless a plot twist occurs) but that never happened. By bleach standards if Unahana is popular enough she will live.

@thelast3321 Thats because authors tends to put on their works what has been passing on their mind. Oda was already perverted, he became more(actually it just means he is enjoying his life with his family and became more open), Kishimoto mind developed most standard(and cliché) form of thinking about "family", forming one, how to create one, etc... it ain't a bad thing, but its cliché.

I guess futtock wasn't setting a trap for me. Wow. I wonder how this will affect the story now since I did hear rumors that marriage can add some small changes to a story. With Oda I heard it was an increase in fanservice while with Kishimoto it was spending more time with the scenes with naruto's parents.

lol the death of genryuusai and the arrival of that zero squad reminds me of raizen's death and the arrival of his friends in yuyu hakusho. there was also a line there where one of yomi's subordinates tried to measure their power and it made the calculator/measurer explode xD tho in bleach it only mentioned that their combined strength is greater than the whole of gotei 13. also, much like how i wondered if any of raizen's friends was as strong or stronger than raizen (especially enma), did that 'five of the zero squad being stronger than the whole of gotei 13' did that include genryuusai being part of gotei 13?

This manga has gone downhill indeed..i've seen mangas that got axed do a better job at wrapping up the ending, this one doesn't seem like it will succeed at that.

I don't get why you people are so butthurt about this, when I finally reached the end of the Aizen arc I stopped reading right there. The manga builds so much to a point where the author has to restart the protagonist in order to keep milking his cow? Pft, nice try.
