all this drama, and yet no one every thought about the possibility of the woman in the past dying due to the primitive medicine of the day?

Its a good sign that Misao could talk to their baby. I get the feeling that the answer rests in her body.

You know, i really really really really really (x10000) want her to live somehow, but I can't help but get the feeling its gonna be a bittersweet ending, or just a straight out sad depressing ending.
I hope the ending will be like Hana to Akuma!

misao is sweet but even she is scared to die but wants to find a way to save her baby too

plus I loved how kyou is not like every other guy

He just wanted to be the head in order to be with Misao.

I really liked this manga: beautiful art, decent story and characters, and so on. But when I found out that the reason he could hurt her was because she would GET PREGNANT, I just had to facepalm myself really, really hard: WOW, seriously, if you have sex, you might get pregnant? Isn't it what EVERY teenager should know in Japan??? I mean, I know that contraception isn't really a topic you can openly talk about in Japan (I read a lot of manga where the characters say: it's ok, it's my safe day... WTF??? how can such (wrong!!!) information be spread in manga like that?). So yeah, I was expecting something really out of the norm and frankly, the pregnant thing was just a huge disappointement. I would have appreciated a bit of contraception-talk. After all, these mangas are also an influence to young girls and gettng pregnant with 16 is not always "no problem since the father is this super rich demon-lord".

So, I liked this manga a lot, I just really didn't like this aspect of it which I found very unrealistic. The characters should have asked themselves this question way earlier ("Hmm, wait a minute, if we're going to have sex... isn't that also a way to make babies? what should we do about that?"). But that's maybe my own, very western reaction to it [] .

 

Anyway, it still remains one of my guilty pleasures!

You probably need to look for slice-of-life manga for older audiences that are mainly concerned with the troubles of real life rather than a "shoujo" manga of that of a girl in a super-natural situation.

Thank you so much for uploading this manga. I will patiently wait for the translated chapters until the end. I would really like to know what happened and understand what they are saying. I spoiled myself though. I browsed the chapters (it's in Spanish!). I will definitely listen to my Spanish teacher now. haha.

This manga is amazing! I enjoyed reading it. Misao's character could become annoying, but my attention wil be always caught by Kyou's love/obsession for her. The 8 retainers are also fun. The comedy parts always makes me smile and laugh so hard. The story behind the characters are touching...the feelings are overwhelming. The tengus reminds me a bit of Love Monster. 
 
The part about Misao

being pregnant. I think I've read something like this before... She needs to give birth and there is a possibility that the child will eat her in order to be born. (Midnight Secretary).

no, I mean as in the irresistible special girl trope, the dangerous demon-eating monster that loves her and has to hold himself back with oh-so much control, the fact that everyone else wishes to kill her/keep her for her special powers, and finally that her pregnancy as a whole is the same as bella's (the child is dangerous and will kill her etc.)

 

Let's just put it this way, Black Bird is what Twilight would look like if it were done better and with a Japanese setting and mythology. But if you want something like Twilight and Vampire Diaries in terms of teenage school romance then Orange Marmalade is what to look for but it lacks serious action since its purely a slice-of-life love-comedy mixed in with racial discrimination and drama, however, its case its the vampires that have the short end of the stick, not humans, so its pretty nice and frankly more realistic setting where the entire public knows of the existence of vampires even though they don't really know how to tell at first glance. 

 17 and 18 is out in store alrdy..I have seen both of them in one of the B&N I go to. As expect, It was an happy ending ~
