Thanks, Evil Flowers!

She's a canary.
She's flighty and vain and not overbright.

So she's a bit of a... bird brain. (No one made that joke in 6 volumes, so I felt it was overdue.)

Overall, she's the first animal spirit I've ever seen depicted in manga/manhwa/manhua that really has the personality of the animal through and through.

Very true. Too often they just stick cat or fox ears and a tail on a sexy girl and that's it.

Spoiler

I don't actually read each chapter and select random chapters, but why is the girl with a different man each chapter?

Well . . . she's never really "been with" a man at all, whether we're talking being in a relationship or doing naughty things.  And so far, she's never really committed to being in love with anyone.  But basically to get why she's so changeable and flighty you need to get one thing:

She's a canary.

She's flighty and vain and not overbright.  Most of the time she's happy with anyone who tells her she's a pretty bird or gives her treats or whatever.  Any hints at deeper emotion have been occasional things that surface only momentarily from the sea of fluffy, vaguely benevolent self-regard that is her day-to-day world.  There are some things which make me think she has more real feelings for the rooster than for anyone else, but she herself isn't paying attention to those feelings because she's the prettiest bird in the world and she's busy being distracted by shiny.

I noticed this title before..but just didn't start to read it until now. I'm glad that latest arc is done, that ghost was getting really annoying- not to mention I wanted to continue with the main story.

I feel so bad for Master Li! That poor man xD

Having just read this series, I wondered why the author keeps mentioning poop. Then I noticed she is a bird owner. I've had birds, and they would poop all the time. Anytime anyone would walk by, they would poop almost as a greeting. You couldn't let them sit on you without being pooped on.

The reason actually is that birds need to keep their weight down so they can fly. Also, birds don't pee; to conserve water, their uric acid comes out with their poop, giving it that white color.

The More You KnowTM.

30 follows you gotta be *%$#ing kidding me.  There should be more people than that just automatically following anything Evil Flowers does.  Plus, this really is a pretty dashed good manga.

Don't worry, my discussion of bird poop will surely lure in droves of new readers. I predict a solid 3% rise in the current # of followers (34). No need to thank me. :D

edit: we reached 35 readers; it worked!

Haha, love all the Purple Library Guy endorsements! But seriously, this is a really cute and funny series.

Thanks Evil Flowers!  Latest chapter, still great.  Man, the plot has gotten all spooky and dangerous, but the characters keep making it hilarious anyway.

It's pretty damn funny too.

This is interesting. Something about the way the bird spirit character is modeled after the author's own pet bird gives her a certain authenticity . . . she feels like a bird more than a human. She's convinced she's the prettiest bird in the world, and it's important to her, but somehow it's not vanity the way we'd think of it . . . it's just who she is.

There's a certain arrogant, violent roosterishness about the male lead, too.
