Spoiler

This was from before I read his other works.

Haha, I didn't have a fucking clue. Get lost, me from 2 months ago.

From all his works, I think I like this the most.

So grim, so good, so wtf am I reading. Thank you Nehei.

A girl talking in different language save the old man and the old bear, several page later the old man pork the girl and got 2 kids. Good job old man.

What happen to Nishu Muzunoe? Never saw her after the the act on the way to space station.

a fucking crazy but interesting read. Nihei's art is amazing but really hard to comprehend. they way everything is drawn makes things hard to understand what's going on. you really have to analyze things to understand what's going on. really good read but not for casual readers. you gotta use your head.

I understand everything about this manga. Aside from where the heck Nishu went after she left with Yion Green and bear dude. Even at then end of the manga she's still missing, did Nihei just forget about her?

FakeHero well i stopped reading this because the art was confusing, i was getting the story for the most part. Its just the scenes that really left be behind wondering whos who and what on earth is going on.

Let me tell you all what the fudge is going on here:

We have basically 3 factions fighting for different things. One that wants to preserve humanity and save the world from the other two crazy factions (actually 1 faction, but a group of them betrayed each other, so they split up). The other one wants everyone to be immortal, while the last one thinks that simple immortality would halt the evolution of humanity (people being lazy since they live forever).

So the answer the last faction came up with instead: everyone is going to turn into drones so that they can usher in a new era of true change. Drones act as material for the super beam (it have a complicated name) so that they can evolve into massive slimes, the slimes then touch everything around them and restructure the material into organic beings/things.

The first faction with the MC failed to prevent the last faction (with the crazy lady who want a new race), sh!t hit the fans when he (MC) and his sis fails.

Their failures resulted in a giant umbilical like string to go from the earth into space forming a new entity. The new entity is one giant living umbilical cord that reaches billions of KM.

Here´s where sh!t gets so badass you can´t fathom the scope. The MC goal is now to reach the end of the billion km long cord to finish of the crazy lady. So the dude goes on a journey that goes beyond hundreds of year with his A.I. to stop the crazy lady.

So here´s the deal. The basic plot here is enormously huge. The incredible but basic plot could last more than 30 volumes, one big epic tale. The problem here is that this huge epic story is told in 6 volumes. About 1200 pages is this mastodon plot compressed into. Which sounds like a lot, but believe me, is not enough.

So instead of getting the best manga ever, we get a manga with gorgeous art and a convoluted fudge up story. The story is fudge up since everything is bombarded against the reader, you don´t have time to slowly digest the wonderful world Nihei have built up. Which is a shame.

I´m glad I read this, but also sad at the same time. Such wasted potential. Nevertheless, the experience I got from it was indeed very pleasurable.

I bought all 6 volumes, in hope that Nihei would make a manga that would last 30+ volumes.

The last scene of the last chapter is a flashback and the man talking to the girl is Loew.

Spoiler
i was brought here today. so far i like the manga.
It's difficult to follow, I agree. There's so much going on, I'm sure I've missed something.
One of Nihei's most ambiguous works (if not the most ambiguous), the plot is tricky to follow, so make sure you remember the rare explanations you're given. The last scene of the last chapter is a flashback and the man talking to the girl is Loew. (This is not a spoiler, most readers don't get what is going on there even after reading the whole thing).
I really like viral plauge plot
