Baki - Son Of Ogre

The Kaioh arc was weird, and it ended when Bolt appeared, maybe the author was forced to focus on the stuff we wanted?

Ali was still alive at the time the 3rd serie was publishing...what a strange way to end it.

Well, I forget to comment about this one, probably the manga that I've read more tomes in a row, probably like six trades at the end, well I can salvage a few moments of this manga, the drawing is better than New Grappler Baki and the development is still better than NGB(is easy when the level is below zero), and it has more characters Interacting. The moments of the relationship of Oliva and his wife, Baki being a terrorist(probably they would never make an oficial translation thanks to this), dat' meeting before Pickle, I l meant, really. Pickle saga, that dinner and that's all. The last fight could've been good, probably good at the level of the Raoh vs Ken battle, since the great conclusion of the childhood saga from BG, something that took years of publishing, and the fight it actually has its moments, but Itagaki's lack of pacing ruined it most of the time.  

But I've to say in favor he did some awesome splash pages on this one, and he really knows how to drawn dinosaurs like ferocious beast unlike his womens but it could've got better fights. But glad, the end was, something like gratifyng, I can't find the word, at least it convinced me.

Glad that I'm enjoying more Motobe Baki Dou now. That would be next. 

While rereading Oliva's arc I can't help but feel moved from seeing Oliva's love for his wife,it is really adorable.

This is so stupid.

Deep down Baki is Yuujiro's greatest admirer and Yuujiro also seems to love Baki in a particulary twisted and nasty way , that odd relation of theirs can be seen way before this manga judging by their reactions during Yuujiro's fights against Doppo and that old chinese master (Kaku Kaioh?). After all we have seen of Yuujiro's personality in these mangas I still think that the death of Baki's mother seems out of character, he has no qualms about killing but it is not like he goes around killing random people especially non-combatants, I know that he did it to motive Baki but it still seems odd to me now that have seen more about Yuujiro.

"The Second" is definetly an Argentinian. Use of "Che" and "Boludo" is the proof.

The Argentinian pisses me off though.  If some random kid with money from Argentina can get training like that, and then train say 1,000 men, so could anyone else in the world.  It makes no sense that there aren't shit loads of people with similar skills if it can be done that "easily" I say easily, because I know it wouldn't be literally easy, but if an island with no money can do it, you sure as hell can bet a superpower can do it to.

No weapons against someone with an automatic rifle who's efficient or above, and about 20 paces away, now multiply the number of people.  The only way you could miss is if we're in a Rambo or Star Wars movie.

The anime covers pretty much all of the first one, so its done like that. watch the anime, then read the 2nd, then start on the 3rd.

 

but even then, its not like there is a MAJOR plot that you'll miss out on if you dont read the first or 2nd completely. I personally just read it for the fights.
