Do you also believe he was talking about Ayeshah when he said, "I could do with an imaginary friend. Most preferably... another me"?

He was talking to Ayeshah about her sister/secret. He doesn't really care about Ayeshah's sister, and Ayeshah avoided eye contact with him, which prompted him to say "What, am I any less charming than my two brothers?". He said it to tip her off that he knew her secret, but she didn't get it.

Your other questions, I don't have an answer to =/

I think everyone figured Nemo knew except me until I re-read it, lol. Wasn't obvious to me.

 

But this gem from chapter 3.. after it all comes to light, like damn Sean.

I don't understand these parts of the story. (>.<)

[spoiler­]I just realized, when Sean was looking at Ayeshah's hands for the piano, he was checking for the wound of his preferred twin and when it wasn't, that's why he sends her away.[/spoiler­]

i absolutely loved this. very few comics do i adore enough to the point of wanting to go back and re-read immediately after finishing. just loved this~~ wish it would get published in the west to buy.

Also like how it provides a different characterization of the Lady Sylvia we came to know through the main story.

The creepiest romantic story that I've ever read, but hey! unexpectedly, I really enjoyed it! I reaalllyyyy loved the ending. Never knew romance between psychopaths could be this "resplendent" 

I was kinda hoping they both died at the end

For the first question, here's just a personal conjecture: Sylvia most definitely loved Carlo more than Sean, and Sean had known this ever since he was very little, though he didn't actually hate Sylvia at this point, as he was obviously still defending his mother when confronted by his stepfather in Chapter 11. The animosity probably started after the end of Chapter 11. Sylvia hated Sean because of what he had done, because he had ruined her family and way of life, and Sean hated Sylvia for letting him go through what he did - not just the sexual molestation, but also the constant insult from his stepfather. All the pent-up frustration and antagonism in his early childhood broke through the dam in that single moment when he realised no responsible mother would ever have let her own child experience such a thing, and he simply snapped. In other words, he simply started hating her because he finally realised there's no point trying to win his mother's love, because she would never ever love him.

 

Second question. He said it was to "make an impression", but I suspect there's more to it. I think Sean has started liking Ayeshah ever since they were children. And it is true that children, especially boys, tend to be particularly mean to children they like (watch/read Ano Hana if you disagree). He could tell the two Ayeshahs apart even when he was a boy, and he was never confused about which of the twins he likes, which was also why Ayeshah's sister (the one who died) couldn't seduce him. He knew the one he encountered at the wooden shack was the one he was drawn to. Since the cut was the most painful thing he had ever experienced, and he started seeing the world in completely new light after he had experienced the excruciating pain, he probably believed it was a necessary trial that would bring one happiness once it had been overcome. He empathised with Ayeshah as they both had a hellish childhood, and he gave her the cut as a kind gesture to make her stronger and more immune to pain.

I love the ending despite it being happily ever after. Just the fact that they lived together till their old ages made my day.

Why did Sean hate Sylvia?
Why did he give Ayeshah the scar?

I think of so many reasons for both, but I can never settle with one

I enjoyed working on this series and am quite satisfied with how it turned out, if I may say so myself. I'm glad you like it.

OMG....that end is so...amazing. Nothing creepy at all. Just a little sad, i may say.

okay... I feel a little underwhelmed but the ending felt quite creepy somehow. Anyone else felt that the ending was disturbing, although it wasn't a big deal? 

Worthwhile. Strange murder Cinderella with beautiful, realistic art (that sometimes creeped the shit outta me), you were a good read.
