Inb4 obvious running gag of trying to dissolve an insoluble mineral substance with any liquid other than molten lava/acid.
While it doesn't state it in the description, it is in fact adapted from a light novel by the same name.
Or a blood ruby
Did he just add a chaos emerald to the potion on page 5?
I know what the word means *sigh*
Here let me link something too so we can at least say we respect each other's views as proper adults.

Let me clarify that I'm aware that this is a manga comment section...............and that it in no way impacts a business of some sort.
Here's the Dictionary.com Definition:
defame
1.
to attack the good name or reputation of, as by uttering or publishing maliciously or falsely anything injurious; slander or libel; calumniate:
2.
Archaic. to disgrace; bring dishonor upon.
3.
Archaic. to accuse.
I forgive you for insulting my intelligence btw
Wow. "Defamation is when someone makes an objectively false statement that directly influences something's reputation"
Do you know what one of the biggest cases of defamation is? It's Yelp reviews. Opinions spread on a mass scale can very well be defamation.
Yes, people can say whatever they want, and yes I can say whatever I want back, however, if a person is rating something numerically, then maybe they should be a bit less callous with their opinion.
I'm honestly shocked this isn't based on a light novel. The writing seems a little rushed...but I guess this is a good way to get the real meat of the plot going.
Gaigous clearly has no clue what's he's talking about so don't mind him.
Geez I can't understand what the fuck is happening.
What's the point in having a scale if you're just going to arbitrarily declare half of the scale to be "Unreasonable"?
How is someone supposed to express their perfectly valid subjective opinion that they dislike or even hate something if the lowest "Reasonable" rating you'll accept is 'average'?
Still confused. It seems like he confirmed she wasn't the paladin's daughter because of the golden magic but then he called it the magic of nobles, so wouldn't that prove the mother didn't have an affair? Plus he said it was an experimental drug so we can't be sure she definitely is a samurai since we haven't even seen what she can do yet.
It is when you give them an excessively low rating If a person simply wanted to express their opinion a 3/5 would suffice like you said.
Which is why I said:
He was to awaken her powers to prove that shes not an illegitimate child and has the powers of a noble.
But she didn't have those powers at all, she was an illegitimate child and was to be killed.
So now that the OP gave her the powers of a samurai, she is awakened but for the wrong class. So she would still be either considered an illegitimate child, or it would get out that he didn't follow orders and tried to support her.
I'm confused. I thought that he was sent there for 2 purposes. To guide her in order to awaken her powers or kill her if she doesn't/can't. She has her powers now so wouldn't his job be done now?
I understand what you're saying, but I still would call a little bit too early to say for certain that the mother had an affair. Even if the gene is passed down doesn't mean that will appear, traumas, stress and other things can get in the way.
But I suppose my biggest problem with the early assumption is that he should probably be a more 'cold-smart' assassin, not a person so quick to judge.
We also know almost nothing about the Mother and her relationship with the Paladin (Father) maybe he was an asshole and she had an affair with her one true love. Maybe she didn't had an affair but for some problem in pregnancy (even a small one) made the daughter have a problem or difficulty to awake her power.
In the end the Novel has 9 volumes so far but since I can't read japanese I don't know how it develops...
This completely ignores the fact that it could just not have been passed on or not displayed, but in that case, it's still the same conclusion: a worthless daughter who seemingly can't carry out the family lineage.
I'm waiting for the inevitable happening that now that she has magic, she will be able to awaken the paladin side of her magic, be dual attribute, and OP as fuck. But it would be a pleasant surprise for this story to turn intrigue/thriller rather than action.
Current comment section in a nutshell:
A rating is an opinion of something. Stating that opinion is not defamation, and does not intrinsically make someone an asshat. I'm not sure what "objective" standard you wish this manga to be judged on, probably the standard that agrees with you.
It's alright, not terrible, and definitely not anything to write home about. A blase 3/5.
People who rate something unreasonably low based on their opinion are the ones defaming, and people who defame things they don't like, tend to be "asshats"
Because people who strongly disagree with you are without exceptions "asshats."
Wait, so her mother really had an affair? I don't know from where comes the certainty he has....
Can anyone explain and if there's anyone that read the Novel can someone give me some spoilers? (i really don't mind about it)
Because he's not shown any sexual inclination towards her. If anything she's the one having all the sexual inclinations towards *him* (or are we going to just forget that it was her who wrapped her arms around him when he was transferring the mana infused liquid into her mouth?) Also he's like... 18 years old.. 20 tops. So we're talking about a 5 to 7 year age gap. Plus since she's nobility she probably would be married off at the age of 15 or so depending on the situation.. so no in fact she would actually be around 2 years from her "adulthood" not that it even makes sense it's not like a number automatically makes you into a mature and upstanding member of society. Finally, it's fiction so it's not like it's really happening so bringing a sense of "right" and "wrong" into a story is just silly.
