Description: |
Fumi and Akira were best friends when they were little, with Akira always looking after the crybaby Fumi, but that all ended when Fumi's family moved away. Several years later, Fumi's family returned, and she and Akira happened to bump into each other on their way to school. They became friends again, quickly slipping back into old patterns. Shortly after, Fumi began dating a cool, attractive upperclassman who, coincidentally enough, had ties to Akira's current school, the prestigious Fujigaya Girls' Academy. |

Just finished this, for what I can read in the comments this might not be the best story to read monthly, the time skips and flashback (and even flashback to completely new or random characters out of nowhere) are the worst thing for me but above all I think it was a great story... and once again I'm glad I'm reading this now and now when it was serialized, my heart wouldn't have survived vol 7
I guess Fumi chan was mature (forcefully and I'm still mad) for her age when it comes to love and A chan was too naive at the moment.
I didn't dislike the story, all told, but it started to lose me after a while. I think the manga had the strongest impression in the beginning, before it got bogged down with side characters and subplots that don't really go anywhere. I don't mind wide casts, but if you're going to introduce a diverse group of characters all with their own individual stories and perspectives, it'd be nice if those stories actually made it out of your head and onto the page.
Damn, Shimura Takako is amazing at doing subtle expressive faces. That alone makes up for some of the flaws in story-telling and art (so many panels are just black background with some text), and really carries. One of my favorites.
I read it all in one go, and it's good like that. It's nice seeing the lives of the side characters too and what's going on in their lives rather than it being a universe designed and centered around two individuals with everyone else being placeholders for people. It probably would have been confusing if I'd read it over a period of months/years though.
It's good. Seemed quite angsty at first but it's actuallly pretty light hearted. Probably because there are always optimistic and energetic characters around no matter the situation.
I loved how the drama was not mainly based on gender but actual feelings for one another.
All the damn feels..
Very good story. But like some already pointed out an epilogue or something would be nice.
I honestly had to give this up at chapter 32 or so, I don't mean to say that manga should be dumbed down or anything but damn, it takes way too much effort to follow all the characters and random time skips/interludes in this.
It's the ending I wanted, but at the same time...
The story is great, but it sure took a lot of effort to figure out the chronological order of the events, time skips are the theme of the day for this manga along with what I presume are flashbacks. Nonetheless the story plot is not terribly hard to follow, though I would prefer if it hadn't sidetracked so often to the side characters. The ending isn't quite what I wanted but it works well. I definitely recommend this manga to anyone reading the comments to see if its worth the time.
Why must it end so suddenly
That's pretty oblique and flashbacky.
Ah, well, I'm still really fond of it. And here we have the finale. Kind of sudden, but oddly in keeping with the whole thing. I'd say I'm more satisfied than I feared.
this http://vatoto.com/read/_/171752/aoi-hana_ch49_by_hime/21 is when akira told fumi that they should breakup
OK, does anyone understand what Akira's motivations are here and just what her status is with Fumi? Because I'm lost.
But did I miss the part where she actually said any of that stuff to Fumi or is the mangaka just way too addicted to referring to everything indirectly? Gah! So annoying.
For goodness sake, Fumi go find yourself a better women that can love you back. I'm tired of all the damn drama. Those lame girls don't deserve you anyway. And I damn hate that Sugimoto girl.
i really want to see a real happy ending and no an ambiguous one and thank you Hime
Very cool, thanks a lot for the new chapter Hime!!!
If this is the case, maybe you should make a thread in QA forum, asking the mods not to delete the chapter. Including the link to the free translation of yuri-project might be a good idea too, so the mods can compare them
I'm assuming my translation of chapter 48 keeps getting deleted because of this comment. Just to make it clear, I did not use the free translation from yuri-project for my release. I translated this from the original Japanese and I'm pretty sure if you compare them side by side, noticeable differences should be evident.
it's ending in July, so 52 will be the last.
oh boy, i hope ch50 is not the last ...
"Chapter 47 is the last chapter we're doing of this series. The download will be taken down in a couple of weeks."
is what they said... all the links except for ch.47 are taken down.
lets hope I am wrong...
