Weird, so it's the same premise with two different approaches? The first oneshot was good, the second... not so much.
Well, their name is Iwai, it seems...
Because this was Horiizumi Inco's first official work published in a magazine, so the point of the two chapters was to drum up interest in the series and possibly end up as a full serialization. It did not, and instead her first serialization was Itoshi no Karin.
Why does the second so-called one-shot chapter end on a cliff-hanger?
Since quite some time has passed since I read the first oneshot I was not sure if this is a direct continuation of the first chapter or is another story but with the same characters, the fact that the sister do not has the same look (she looked cute and a little childish in the first chapter and in this one she really looks like an sexy older sister) and that it was never shown how she recovered or got reconstructed did not help either to clear my confusion. Thanks for the chapter, and continuation or not I am really glad to see more of this story, the ending of that first oneshot left me a little heartbroken.

These were just oneshots done in a magazine prior to Itoshi no Karin--read Inco's input on the first chapter for why/where this happened.
