hey hey hey, what happened to all the other chapters that were on here, why is it only chapter 10 that is left?

Did all the chapters get deleted for some reason?

Update: Nevermind. I guess it is licensed or something.

Explanation time. Rita was a time looper. Its stated in the flash back when she originally realizes that she can't permanently die. She also talks about the senpai that was incredibly skilled but died in the same battle that she gained her powers in. Basically committed suicide because he was a looper and realized that Rita had acquired the same power. Each looper was originally meant to die. Once another looper came out they're power is cancelled out and they become back ups that rewind the same way gitai looper did. The only way to stop the loop is to kill the back up. Rita realized this because she had been through it before. She already knew how keiji would be effected and she wanted to die fighting. Can not for the life of me remember how to spoiler this

I loved edge of tomorrow , that movie was epic as shit. Whats up with the missing chapters ? o.o

Personally I saw the film and then read this. Prefer this to the film until that very last chapter, which almost made me reconsider.

Spoiler

I did like how much more we learnt about Rita in this compared to the film, and how the mimics powers worked I felt was better explained.
That said if you went by the films concept of the mimics ability, I feel the ending could've been happier(even though they did seem to throw in a typical Hollywood end). Since their battle ability was far higher in the manga.
Feel I should really try to find the novel, even if it ends the same as the manga did. It would still add to my knowledge and understanding of the events leading up to this.

Really was enjoyable so much so it barely took me much more than an hour to read it all.

I actually prefer the movie over the novel/manga, if only for the ending and the way they accomplished the action. And, also, if you understand that they tried to put an entire light novel series into ONE movie, they did pretty well. (Because Hollywood won't make a "3-part series" like Harry Potter or Hunger Games without some international success/appeal, and it don't blame them for it either. I was surprised that "All You Need Is Kill" even got to Hollywood in the first place - "Attack on Titan" should've been made with Hollywood money instead).

what happened to the chapters? ughh i got interested about the this when i remembered the "mimic" from edge of tomorrow only to find out the movie was based on this manga -_-

why? Why? WHY?! ( !_!)

What happened to the chapters?

Is it still worth reading this manga if i saw the movie?

Yes, the movie basically has just the same setting, everything else is different.

Also fuck that ending.

Is it still worth reading this manga if i saw the movie?

Went back and watch the movie to see what the hubbub was about on and wow...coming from the manga/light novel the movie was just absolute trash.

Really? I found the time powers during the ending dumb.

Spoilers...

Spoiler

I suppose it is used to support the plot, but it's ridiculous that they keep using gun and explosive despite it poses no threat whatsoever to the enemy. How hard it is to make an enhanced armor suit for melee combat, or high mobility for MMA/ sword/ chainsaw/ etc.. Instead, they mass produced light suicide units with restricted movement, useless weapon,  and basically, 1 hit die. They even have a combat proven battle axe soldier...

And if you consider it needs antenna to function, then just get the god damn antenna out of range, what is the big deal?

I haven't read the LN, but I hope it make some better senses.

Either way, it was ok, not so good, but can't say it's bad. Still he could have killed himself and let her carry the world. After all, she had only known him for 1 day.

Implying they know the range... And they can escape the base, but considering one Mimic owned a little girl and her grandfather as it chased down our time looping bad ass, it wouldn't be the best idea.

Wouldn't of worked. When ever he died, he reset. When Rita died, she died.

uhm ... wait what. sequel?

"Since I had an opportunity of this film adaptation, I want to write a story which can be read by the people in overseas. I have felt a certain reaction." He has already started working on the idea for the sequel."

Is it just me or did that ending just seem like complete shit?

Author couldn't figure out a different way to add a dramatic tone it so he made them fight one another, just feels , bad? dumb? out of nowhere retarded, kind of like lost's tv show.

Sad to say, I'll be siding with edge of tomorrow, which i think is one of the 2 adaptions that are better than their original counterpart . (Game of thrones being the other)

Holy crap - I avoided this due to Tragedy tag, then watched Edge of Tomorrow because my friend recommended it to me after I told him Japanese authors like to play with time loops, and while watching it I was like 'wow jp influence everywhere' and just found out it's from this manga >.>

aiya. damnit

Yea...no...

The manga/LN plot is generally better than the movie's and overall it's quite a good and well made story...but that ending...no, just no. Seriously that twist is nothing more than a gaping plothole straight out of left field in order to make the ending more dramatic. The story was great but the ending nearly ruined the experience for me and made me just fall back to concidering the movie to be better....though even it had a BS ending.

I know the end to a story is one of the hardest to write...but both the LN/Manga and the movie have endings with huge plotholes.

10/10 anything lower would be a crime!!

it's been a while since I read the LN...... THE ENDING STILL GETS TO ME

i am crying and smiling idk what to feel

*crycrycry*

If Rita wasn't there when the battle happen would she still act as a server/backup ?

What is the range of the mimic's network anyway ? If it's worldwide then why would mimic placed the server and the backup right on the battlefield ?

I know there might be a good explanation for this, what i'm saying is . . . .

Spoiler
This manga had a decent concept but the author didn't put any substantial thought into it to make it an engaging story. No real development or variety of characters. It's like a background plot for a video game. A stretched out one-shot manga. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good one in comparison to most manga.

Given the length of the manga, I am satisfied with it overall. I think the author did sufficient justice to a cool idea. Of course, it feels like it could have been better, but what we got isn't bad at all.
