i watched the anime but for some reson i find this manga interesting to the point i thought to myself
"CLIFFHANGER FUUUU"

I don't even care that its not a great series. I'm just impressed someone picked it up after two years. I'll read it just to respect their work.

while i can't say akikan is good (or well.... i can but it would be the lie of thee century) it is still fun, and that is enough for me

I totally agree, the summary makes it sound so generic when it's actually pretty amusing overall (this from someone who's read hundreds of manga).

I didn't even give the anime a go, neither the manga. What can I say, better than I expected. Come on, that summary turns off everyone. The summary indeed gave that 'oh no not another one' feeling. Great to say it's better than that.

@peguin71: Both groups dropped it sometime last year. Probably for the exact reason Kalladin mentioned. It really is another "oh gods not this again" series, albeit with more depth than the anime.

Truth be told, using the concept doesn't dictate the quality of the story, but using the concept to appeal to people who haven't read it is not effective.

That summary basically tells me oh no not another one.

It was a backlog. I don't think either group is working on it right now, but I could be wrong.
