Ai Hime - Ai to Himegoto

I'm not a big fan of the 'love at first sight' premise because instead of love, isn't that just an attraction?

And even then, kissing each other within the first five minutes of meeting is... not my style but I guess real life flings and one night stands start out like that. And on the rare occasion a lasting relationship.


So I originally read the first chapter but dropped it because of the terrible scan quality, translation and story premise. But when I read a one shot by the same author that I liked, I decided to give this another chance.


Finding a good balance of realism and shoujo moments is hard, and this manga isn't one of those.

Living with her 'uncle' who didn't have that big of a qualm of seducing his step brother's daughter already cancels any realism out BUT

On the romance side, this manga wasn't bad. It satisfies the criteria of very little drama and mainly focuses on the domestic side of their relationship.

This manga had a good atmosphere for the two, and the frequent kiss scenes were done well that you feel the action through the panel drawings.

It's a manga that satisfies our self indulgence for a younger girl-attractive man setup with very little obstacles for the two. Realistic, not really but it makes us feel good.


Also I'm glad the two didn't keep a chaste relationship. Considering they were living together, physically they'd be intimate sooner or later.

Morally wrong or not, it's a whole other argument and knowing the summary, if you aren't fond of these 'taboo' love stories then this isn't for you.

Decent manga with not a lot going on that imo could use some drama, but romance wise most people would enjoy it.

That was so sweet. I kept cringing expecting drama but it didnt pop out. Ill give it a second more relax read to fully enjoy the sweet

my first impression about this guy is, "what the heck is wrong with your head?"

about this comic : cool, funny, happiness,  lively, trust, love, lovely, cute, warmth, together, touchy...

I really Love and Like It..

This story was like the middle part of a river (lengthwise). The speed of the water is slow but sometime there are parts with small vortices. There are often waterfall like events in many other stories but not so here. 

It is just cute and won't leave a bad taste in your mouth after reading. Though there is one thing that disturbs me...he smokes everywhere. So his home must smell like a cold ashtray and passive smoking is even worse for ones health than actice smoking. And that kiss right after taking a puff...URGS...I'm surprised she doesn't throw up right there. I hope he at least stopped at the end for obvious reasons.

I loved this! I started it to help me go to sleep.... I was up till 2 but the story wouldnt get out of my mind because it was so awesome! I had to listen to owl city and read gentelmans alliance till 4 when I finally got to sleep. Needless to say it was awesome enough for me to risk going to school on two hours of sleep.

even though its short its one of my favorite shoujo's! i love both the characters and the way the plot unravels (although its not really original) and as always mitsuki-sensei's drawings are lovely

Haha I like it. Glad they're not blood-related since they look good together. <3 the ending where his kid punch the guy in his gut for trying to make a move on his mom he dad even teach him to hit lower LOL

Sort of decent set up, if not entirely original. Unfortunately, the translation doesn't make a whole lot of sense. You can get the rough idea of what's going on, but it's not particularly enjoyable to read.
