It's a great thing I read these comments before reading! This was really interesting
It's very good. The social context is Japan though, so the more liberal readers might get a bit offended by the point of view (which the author does not espouse) of some characters. The overall message is positive and meaningful, but nothing new to anyone who's already accepted it beforehand.
Other than that, it's quite funny and entertaining regardless.
I agree with Relia, don't let the cover art fool you! This is a great read, no cliches in sight!
