Well, that was funny. The whole plot "pretend to be my boyfriend so my friends will think I'm cool" is pretty stupid, and still very bizarre no matter how many times I see it (it seems like one of those contrived situations that authors only use because they read it in someone else's manga, and so on). But the twist here actually made it hilarious.

I know from personal experience the senario from this story can happen IRL. During middle school I was a tall gangly geeky guy that no girl wanted to get near. One day I was approached by a cheer-leader chick who wanted me to give her a ring. Turns out that some of her "fiends" were spreading a rumor that we were an item and that upset her. Her solution was for me to give her a ring so she could then throw it back in my face to 'prove' that we had "broken up" and dispell the rumors. B;

For me only the main couple issue doesn't make any sense and thats why they are boring. Whats wrong with 2 mature looking classmates dating anyway and why they need to hide it? Other pairing all have either age gap or gender issues making their struggles more believable.

I love this manga. Anyone who has a problem with the social conventions being pushed can go back to Reddit. It's just cute drawings, and more to the point, the title is "14 year old's love" - an age where not everything is straightforward, least of all romance.

I'm totally, completely, wholly, absolutely, one hundred percent, wasted by this chapter.

Amazing how this still managed to surprised with almost every page. At first I thought that that girl could be best girl, but not so much best like this.
